    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe is from Sodaro Orchard's. Every summer here in Northern CA we look forward to peach season. Big juicy freestone peaches! This recipes is 60+ years old and compliments of the proprietors of the best freestone peaches in the world!!


    List of Ingredients


    • 8-10 medium size peaches (from Sodaro Orchard's if your lucky)
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup flour
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1 stick butter or margarine
    • cinnamon to taste


    Instructions


    1. Peel and slice peaches.
    2. Place in large pan and cook for about 5 minutes until they reach a rolling boil.
    3. Add sugar and cinnamon to taste.
    4. Drain and save juice.
    5. Melt butter cube in a 9"X12" pan and set aside to cool.
    6. Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour gently over the melted butter.
    7. Place the drained peaches on top and cook for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
    8. Serve warm with either ice cream or the heated juice.
