This recipe is from Sodaro Orchard's. Every summer here in Northern CA we look forward to peach season. Big juicy freestone peaches! This recipes is 60+ years old and compliments of the proprietors of the best freestone peaches in the world!!
List of Ingredients
- 8-10 medium size peaches (from Sodaro Orchard's if your lucky)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- cinnamon to taste
Instructions
- Peel and slice peaches.
- Place in large pan and cook for about 5 minutes until they reach a rolling boil.
- Add sugar and cinnamon to taste.
- Drain and save juice.
- Melt butter cube in a 9"X12" pan and set aside to cool.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour gently over the melted butter.
- Place the drained peaches on top and cook for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Serve warm with either ice cream or the heated juice.
