Mom's "Fall Off The Bone" Chicken

I come from R.I. There is a great place for chicken that falls off the bone and I have wondered how they can make it so moist. Well, my Mom has perfected it!
List of Ingredients
- Chicken (skinned pieces, breasts, legs, thighs or whole)
- Campbell's French Onion Soup (if cooking a large amount of chicken, add another can of soup and water)
- 1 can water
- spices of your choosing
Instructions
- In roasting pan, place soup and water; Add washed chicken and season to your liking with your favorite spices/rub; Cover and bake for 5 hours at 250 degrees. Baste chicken occasionally.
- Serve using soup/gravy over chicken. (soup mixture can be thickened if desired, but it is great just the way it is)
Final Comments
If roasting a whole chicken, stuff cavity with onion wedges and let chicken rest 10 minutes before carving.
