    **Pasta Fagioli**

    How about a traditional Italian Soup? This recipe is quick, easy and delicious served with a loaf of hot garlic bread!


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 stalks celery, chopped
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 2 (14-1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • parsley, oregano, crushed red pepper, salt to taste
    • 1 (16 oz.) can Cannellini beans (white kidney beans), undrained
    • 1 small can tomatoe sauce
    • 1 (14-1/2oz.) can diced Italian tomatoes, drained
    • 1/2 to 3/4 cup uncooked small shell or elbow macaroni


    Instructions


    1. Saute celery, onion, garlic and spices.
    2. Add chicken broth, tomatoes, and tomatoe sauce.
    3. Simmer on low for 15 to 20 minutes.
    4. Add raw pasta and cook 10 to 15 minutes more until pasta is done to your likeness.
    5. Add beans with their liquid.
    6. Serve with Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top!
