"These cookies are made quickly with only 5 ingredients. You can also create your own version with different flavored cake mixes and baking chips."
Review #1:These cookies are fantastic. I used a devil's food cake mix and peanut butter chips, and carefully followed the 10 minute on-the-pan cooling time. The baking time was also about right for my oven. I highly recommend this recipe!
Review #2:I made these for the UT VOLS / Fla Gator football game tonight. I truly didn't have high hopes for this recipe when I was mixing these up, the batter just didn't seem right. I added 1 TSP of water. I used devils food cake mix and white chocolate chunks and let me tell you - these are out of this world! To be so easy these were very good! I think those that might not be getting good results might want to change cake mixes. I used a mix that had pudding in it. Thanks for the post! I am going to try different variations for sure!
1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
1 egg
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 cups butterscotch chips
Recipe
Original recipe yield: 4 dozen
Combine all ingredients in the order given. (Do not use mixer.) Drop by teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 7 minutes. Do not let them get brown around the edges! Cool on the cookie sheet at least 10 minutes before trying to remove them, they will break!
