Recipe Introduction
Thousands of these buckeyes have been made. Enjoy them anywhere. You don't have to be from Ohio.
List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. peanut butter
- 1/2 lb. butter or oleo
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 pound confectioner's sugar
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 bar paraffin wax, shaved
Instructions
- Mix first four ingredients together so it can be molded into balls
- Add more sugar if needed.
- Roll into balls about the size of large marbles. Chill or refridgerate until ready to dip.
- Melt 12 oz. bag of chips and paraffin over double boiler. Coat balls using toothpicks. Set on waxed paper to cool.
- I usually store refriderated. Makes about 6 dozen or so.
- Make sure when you coat them you leave an "eye" open for the buckeye!
