This recipe won first place at the Canfield Fair in 2003.
List of Ingredients
- 18 oz. jar creamy Peter Pan peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter (the real stuff)
- 1 T. vanilla (real) (imitation will work)
- 1 pound confectioner's sugar
- 12 oz. Nestle's semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 bar parafin wax, shaved
Instructions
- Mix all but chocolate chips and wax in bowl and roll into balls, about the size of a large marble. Chill if desired
- In double boiler, mix and melt chocolate pieces and wax.
- With toothpicks, stick cold peanut butter balls into melted chocolate, covering all but an "eye"
- Let cool on waxed paper cookie sheets. I usually put them in the freezer to chill, then pull off and store in fridge, freezer, or cool place. Makes about 6 dozen
