    List of Ingredients

1 pound very lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion (or equivalent in dried onion flakes)
2 8-oz cans Contadina Tomato Sauce
    16 ounces water
1 16-oz package frozen okra/tomato mix (I use Picksweet brand) (see notes
pertaining to okra and suggestions for okra substitutes)
2 beef bouillon cubes (or equivalent product)
    1/2 teaspoon sweet basil
    1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1 8-oz can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
1 can (any size you want) green beans and the juice

Brown the meat in a large skillet or soup pot. Pour off any fat. Add the onions and cook and stir a little longer. Add the other ingredients. Cook until okra is tender. Makes 4 to 8 servings.

Note 1: Do NOT use canned okra. Yuck! It's slimy.

Note 2: If you can't find the okra/tomato mix, use one 8-10 oz. package frozen okra
and 1 8-oz can diced tomatoes with the juice.

Note 3: If you can't bear to eat okra, substitute more green beans or a green veggie
of your choice (but DO use the tomatoes).

Note 4: Water chestnuts are a great substitute for carrots or potatoes in recipes!
