1/2 CUP SUGAR
1/3 CUP SHORTENING
1 EGG
1/1/2 CUP FLOUR
1 1/2 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1/2 TSP. SALT
1/4 TSP NUTMEG
1/2 CUP MILK
COATING:
1/2 CUP SUGAR
1 TSP. CINNAMON
6 TBSP. MELTED BUTTER Recipe
CREAM TOGETHER 1/2 CUP SUGAR, SHORTENING AND EGG. SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SALT AND NUTMEG; ADD TO CREAMED MIXTURE ALTERNATELY WITH MILK, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. FILL 12 GREASED MUFFIN PANS 2/3 FULL. BAKE IN 350 DEGREE OVER FOR 20-25 MINUTES.
COMBINE COATING SUGAR AND CINNAMON. REMOVE MUFFINS FROM OVEN; IMMEDIATELY DIP MUFFINS IN MELTED BUTTER THEN IN THE CINNAMON-SUGAR MIXTURE UNTIL COATED.
SERVE WARM. MAKES 12 MUFFINS.
