    APPLE CRUMB TOPPING PIE

    List of Ingredients

    9" FILLING:
    7 CUPS APPLES
    1 TBSP LEMON JUICE
    2 TBSP FLOUR
    3/4 CUP SUGAR
    DASH SALT
    1 1/2 TSP CINNAMON

    TOPPING:
    2/3 CUP FLOUR
    1/3 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
    1/3 CUP BUTTER

    Pie Crust
    3 cups flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 1/2 crisco
    5 tablespoons water
    1 tablespoon vinegar
    1 egg

    Recipe

    For the crust, mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Mix in crisco until it resembles small peas. In a small container mix water, vinegar, and egg. Pour over flour mixture and combine until it is moist. Roll out with flour and put in 9" pie pan.
    Mix all the filling ingredients together and place in 9" shell. Mix the flour and brown sugar together. Cut in butter until it is in small pieces. Sprinkle topping over filling. BAKE AT 400 FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR
