    Recipe Introduction

    Roger's favorite.

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak
    1/4 cup vegetable oil
    a little garlic powder
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. ground ginger (optional)
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbs. cornstarch
4 green onions cut in pieces
    3 green peppers, sliced
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 cup beef bouillon
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1/2 to 1 cup water
    1 can of tomatoes

    Recipe

Freeze steak about an hour to make cutting easier. Heat oil in skillet. Add garlic, salt, ginger (opt.) and pepper. Add steak, which has been cut into 1/4" strips and brown these lightly. Remove meat, add green peppers and onions and tomatoes and cook approximately 3 to 5 minutes.

Return beef to pan and add soy sauce, sugar, bouillon, water chestnuts, cornstarch (dissolved in water) and green onions. Simmer about 20 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
