    1 cup sugar
    3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, room temperature (divided)
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon lemon peel
    2 1/3 cups flour (divided)
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    2 large bananas, mashed
    1 cup blueberries
    1/3 cup quick rolled oats
    1/3 cup brown sugar




    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In large mixing bowl, cream sugar and 1/2 cup butter. Beat in eggs
    and lemon peel.

    In separate bowl, whisk together thoroughly 2 cups flour, the baking
    powder, salt and nutmeg.

    Using wooden spoon or rubber spatula, fold dry ingredients into
    creamed butter mixture, alternating with bananas, until dry
    ingredients are moist. Stir in blueberries. Turn into well-greased
    9-by-5-inch loaf pan.

    Prepare streusel. Combine remaining 1/3 cup flour, rolled oats and
    brown sugar. Cut in remaining 1/4 cup butter. Top batter with
    streusel. Bake in preheated oven 55 to 60minutes, or until golden.
    Cool 10 minutes and turn onto wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about
    12 servings.
