2 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 beaten egg
1 cup buttermilk
2 tbs. melted butter

Combine dry ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients and add to dry ingredients. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Sandwich thin slices with softened cream cheese and orange marmelade.
