1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 T. water
Cut butter into flour. Sprinkle with water and mix with fork. Divide mixture in half. Pat each half into a 12x3 strip on a large, ungreased baking sheet.

chopped pecans/or sliced almonds
Recipe
In saucepan add water & butter. Heat to boiling. Remove from heat & add extract. Quickly add flour & beat to prevent lumping. When smooth add eggs ONE AT A TIME, stirring til smooth after each addition. Divide batter & spread evenly oever strips. Bake @350 for 1 hr. When cooled, ice with an almond flavored white glaze & top with chopped nuts. Slice on the diagonal into 2 inch strips to serve.
