4 eggs, beaten
2 sticks butter, room temp
1 cup sugar
1 cup SELF RISING flour
Juice of 2 fresh LEMONS
3 TLBS. powdered sugar

Cream butter & sugar
Add beaten eggs and sifted flour, alternately
Put batter in greased & floured 8x8 or 9x9 square pan
Bake at 350 degrees (preheated) for about 45-50 minutes
When cake is almost done began to boil lemon juice and sugar. Remove cake from oven & immediately pour boiling lemon mixture over cake. Cool in pan.
