8 PLAIN HERSHEY CHOCOLATE BARS
2 STICKS BUTTER
4 EGGS
2 CUPS SUGAR
2 CUPS CHOPPED NUTS, OPTIONAL
2 1/2 CUPS SIFTED FLOUR
1/4 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
1/4 TEASPOON SALT
1 CUP BUTTERMILK
2 TEASPOONS VANILLA
1 CUP CHOCOLATE SYRUP

Recipe
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
SOFTEN CHOCOLATE BARS IN A DOUBLE BOILER UNTIL MELTED, LET COOL.
CREAM BUTTER TILL LIGHT, ADD SUGAR AND MIX IN, ADD EGGS AND MIX, ADD MELTED CHOCOLATE AND MIX WELL. ADD BAKING SODA TO BUTTERMILK AND MIX WELL, SET ASIDE.
COMBINE NUTS, SALT AND FLOUR IN A BOWL. ADD ALTERNATELY WITH BUTTERMILK. STIR IN VANILLA AND CHOCOLATE SYRUP MIXING WELL.
LINE THE BOTTOM OF A PAN GREASED AND FLOURED WITH PARCHMENT PAPER OR BROWN PAPER..
BAKE FOR 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES. WHEN COOL, DRIZZLE MORE CHOCOLATE SYRUP ON TOP OR WITH YOUR FAVORITE CHOCOLATE FUDGE FROSTING.
