    Recipe Introduction

This is an excellent camp recipe or for a good BBQ meal. You can substitute the veggies to suite your taste.

    List of Ingredients

1 Lb Ground beef or turkey

    1 green bell pepper

    1 med. white onion

    Fresh mushrooms

    1 or 2 Lg Potatos

    Butter or margarine

Heavy aluminum foil (4 peices large enough to wrap all ingredients tightly)

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Recipe

Slice all vegetables about 1/8 inch thick

Make 4 1/4 lb meat patties

Assemble the trail meals as follows: Place foil shiny side up, place a meat patty in the center,

Top with 3-4 slices of each vegetable.

Add about 1-2 Tbs Butter or Marg. on top.

Fold the sides in towards the center and roll the ends up tightly so no juice will leak out.

These last two steps are important because if the butter is not added and/or juice leaks out these will burn.

Place on hot coals meat side down for 9-11 minutes

Flip over and cook an additional 10 minutes longer.

Remove from coals and tear open and eat straight from the foil.

    Final Comments

These can be assembled at home and cooked in camp. And there is little clean up afterwards.
There are so many variations of this just use your imagination.
