White Christmas Punch

2 C sugar
1 C water
1 (12oz) can evaporated milk
1 T almond extract
3 (1/2 G) cartons vanilla ice cream, softened
6 (2 liter) bottles lemon~Lime carbonated beverage, chilled




Recipe

Combine sugar & water in a sauce pan. Cook over med heat until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add evaporated milk & almond extract; let cool. Chill until ready to serve.

Combine milk mixture & remaining ingredients in punch bowl just before serving, stirring to break ice cream into small pieces.

Yield: about 3 ½ Gallons
