Mrs Field's Chocolate Chip Dough To Go

2 c.flour
1 c.quick oats
1/2 tsp.baking powder
1/4 tsp.salt
2 sticks(1 c.)unsalted butter,softened
3/4 c.packed light brown sugar
3/4 c.granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp.vanilla
1 c.coarsely chopped pecans
12 oz.semisweet chocolate chips(about 2 c.)

Recipe
In a medium bowl whisk together flour,oats,baking powder & salt.In another medium bowl with electric mixer,cream the butter & sugars.Beat in the eggs & vanilla.Gently beat in the flour mixture,then stir in the pecans & chocolate chips.
Turn half the dough out onto a sheet of wax paper.Shape into a log 2" in diameter.Roll up the log of dough in wax papper & twist the ends closed.Repeat with the remaining dough.Chill til firm.The cookie dough can be refrigerated for 1 week or frozen for 6 months stored in an airtight plastic bag.
To bake cookies,preheat oven to 300.If using the frozen dough,let it soften slightly at room temperature,then cut the dough log into 1/2"thick slices.Place the slices on a cookie sheet 2" apart.Bake for 22-24 minutes or til set.
Yields about 4 dozen.
