Cranapple Pie w/ Cheese Crust

1 1/2 C flour
dash salt
1/2 C shortening
1 1/2 C shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
4-5 TBS water
1 1/2 C sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 C cranberries
1/3 C water
6 C peeled and sliced tart apples
1 TBS butter
3 TBS quick cooking tapioca
Recipe
Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening to make course crumbs. Sitr in cheese. Sprinkle with water, mixing lightly with fork to form a soft ball. Divide dough in half. On a lightly floured board, roll two 11 inch circles. Place on in a 9 inch pie pan. Combine sugar, tapioca and cinnamon in sauce pan. Add cranberries and 1/3 C water. Cook, stirring, untilmixture boils. Remove from heat and gently stir in apple slices. Cool slightly. Spoon into pastry lined pan. Dot with butter. Cover with top pastry and seal, flute edges. Bake at 400° for 45-50 minutes. Cool to set before serving.
