s today’s recipe for a very old favorite.
List of Ingredients
2 10 oz. cans tomato puree
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup melted butter
12 slices white bread in cubes, crust off
Recipe
• Combine sugar, salt, puree and boiling water.
• Boil 5 minutes.
• Place cubes of bread in buttered baking dish.
• Pour melted butter over, then pour hot puree over.
• Cover and bake at 375¡ for 30 minutes.
• Uncover and bake 10-15 minutes more.
