    Barbequed Spareribs with Raspberry Jam

    List of Ingredients




    3 to 4 lb. spareribs cut into serving pieces
    2 tsp. meat tenderizer
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1/2 tsp. celery salt
    8 whole cloves
    2 Tbsp. raspberry jam
    4 dashes Tabasco sauce or hot sauce
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. liquid smoke

    Recipe



    Simmer spareribs in large pot 1 1/2 to 2 hours with 1
    teaspoon of meat tenderizer, covered with cold water. Combine remaining ingredients.
    Dip each serving piece in mixture.
    Place in large greased casserole, pour rest of mixture over.
    Bake covered until tender 1 1/2 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
    Beef ribs may be used if desired.
