    1 Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix
    1 carton Cool Whip (8 oz)
    4 Eggs
    1/2 Cup Oil
    1 Cup Water
    1 Can Cherry Pie Filling
    1/4 Cup Cherry Liqueur (optional)

    Recipe



    Add eggs, oil and water to cake mix and make cake according to instructions on package. Bake two 9" layers, or one sheet cake, and cool.

    Mix pie filling with liqueur, if desired. Spread this over bottom layer of cake, or on top of sheet cake. Frost with Cool Whip. Decorate with shaved chocolate.

    This cake freezes very well.
