1 Pkg Chocolate Cake Mix With Pudding Added (18-1/4 Oz)
½ Cup Margarine or Butter, melted
1 Egg, beaten
1 Cup Plain Chocolate Candies (M&M's)
2 Cups Confectioners' Sugar
1/4 Cup Solid Shortening
½ Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Egg White
1/3 Cup Chopped Plain Chocolate Candies (M&M's)Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, melted margarine and egg. Stir until dough is formed; stir in candies. Shape dough into 1-1/2 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until set. Cool cookies on cookie sheets 1 minute. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool.
In a small bowl, combine 1 cup confectioners' sugar, shortening, vanilla and egg white, beating until smooth. Add remaining sugar, beating until smooth. Stir in chopped candies. Spread heaping tablespoon of filling between 2 cookies. Wrap in plastic wrap and tie as desired.
YIELD: 12 cookie yoyos
