Black Iron Skillet Cornbread

This makes the very best cornbread. The cornbread comes out all golden and crusty and just wonderful! Serve with lots of butter!
List of Ingredients
1 Cup Yellow Corn Meal
1 Cup Flour
4 Teaspoons Baking Powder
3/4 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoon Sugar
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1 Cup Milk
2 Tablespoons Shortening, melted
Recipe
Melt shortening in a heavy iron skillet.
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Add the egg and milk; mix well. Pour into the heated iron skillet and stir again to mix the shortening in with the batter.
Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes.
