    3 Lbs Medium Green Tomatoes, washed
    2 Cups White Vinegar
    1 Cup Water
    2 Tablespoons Pickling Salt
    3 Cloves Garlic, peeled and split
    5 Fresh Dill Sprigs, or 2-1/2 Teaspoons Dried Dill

    Recipe



    Remove stems from tomatoes and cut each into 6 wedges; set aside.

    Sterilize 5 pint jars and leave in hot water until ready to fill.

    In a small saucepan, combine vinegar with one cup water and the salt. Bring to boiling, reduce heat, and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.

    Add tomatoes to vinegar solution and bring just to boiling. Remove from heat.

    With a slotted spoon, quickly ladle tomatoes into hot sterilized jars. To each jar, add one-half garlic clove and one dill sprig (or ½ teaspoon dried dill). Fill jar with vinegar mixture to within ½-inch of top. Process at once as manufacturer recommends.

    YIELD: 5 pints
