Apple Pie (Made With Pears)

6 Pears
2 Tablespoons Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Butter
--- Double-Crust Pastry ---
2 Cups Sifted Flour
1/2 Cup Corn Oil
1 Teaspoon Salt
3 Tablespoons Cold Water

Double-Crust Pastry: Combine flour and salt. Blend in corn oil, mixing thoroughly with fork. Sprinkle all water on top; mix well. Press firmly into ball with hands. If too dry, mix in 1 or 2 tablespoons more oil. Divide dough almost in half, using smaller portion for top crust. Flatten each piece of dough slightly and roll out between two pieces of waxed paper. (Wipe table with damp cloth to prevent paper from slipping.) Peel off top paper; place larger pastry in pan, paper side up. Peel off paper and fit pastry loosely in pan. Fill pastry with pie filling and top with top crust. (For baked shell, prick throughly and bake in 450 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.)
Pie: Arrange pears in pastry-lined 9-inch pie pan. Combine flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon; sprinkle over pears and dot with butter. Cover with top crust, seal, and flute edges. Cut slits for steam to escape.
Bake in 425 degree oven about 50 minutes or until crust is brown.
