    This sauce is so very good spooned over a bread pudding, or any dessert that requires a good sweet sauce.

    List of Ingredients




    ½ Cup Butter
    1 Cup Granulated Sugar
    1 Large Egg, slightly beaten
    ½ Cup Bourbon

    Recipe



    Melt butter in top of double boiler over simmering water. Stir in sugar and egg. Cook, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat; let cool to room temperature. Whisk in bourbon.

    Yield: 1-1/2 cups sauce.
