Czechoslovakian Potato Soup

1 Medium Onion, peeled and chopped
1 Medium Carrot, scraped and diced
1 Cup Celery, diced
2 Tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
Salt to Taste
Pepper to Taste
5 Medium Potatoes, peeled and chopped
½ Cup Mushrooms, chopped
¼ Cup Dried Marjoram
2 Tablespoons Flour
3 Tablespoons Butter or MargarineRecipe
Put onion, carrot, celery and parsley and 4 cups of water in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper.
Lower heat and cook, covered, for 15 minutes. Add potatoes, mushrooms and marjoram; continue to cook until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes.
Combine flour and butter, stir into the soup. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes.
