This dip is a favorite of my sister's, Lynda. We make it just so we have an excuse to eat it!!!!!
List of Ingredients
1 pound ground chuck or lean ground beef
2 pound package of VELVETTA cheese
1 can ROTELLE diced tomatoes
1 medium onion (minced)
Recipe
Cook chuck or ground beef, crumble, drain and set to the side.
In a large crock pot or a slow cooker, combine cheese, onions, and diced tomatoes. Set on lowest setting and allow cheese to melt. Add cooked chuck or ground beef, set cooker to lowest setting and allow to cook for 1 hour, stirring often.
Serve with torilla chips or pita chips*.
*To make homemade pita chips: Cut pita bread into triangles, separate, and brush with melted butter or margarine and sprinkle with garlic salt. Bake in a 400 degree oven until golden brown and crisp.
