    1 c crisco
    2 c sugar
    4 c flour
    6 eggs
    3 c jam
    1 c buttermilk
    1 heaping t soda
    1 t allspice & cinnamon

    Recipe



    Cream sugar, eggs and crisco. Add jam. Sift dry ingredients and then add to cream mixture. Bake in moderate over. Ice with brown sugar icing. 350 over for 1 hour. Makes BIG cake. Please note-probably use a bundt or angel food pan.It also didn't include the icing-guess everyone back then knew what it was!
