Layered Chile Cheese Bread

2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
1 can (8 oz) green chiles, chopped
1 cup chopped black olives
1 1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups flour
4 T. sugar
8 t. baking powder
2 cups yellow cornmeal
1 t. salt
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
Recipe
In a large bowl, combine the cheese, chiles, olives, and sour cream. In
another bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cornmeal and
salt; set
aside. In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, milk and butter. Stir the
milk mixture
into the flour mixture until just combined, then pour half of this
batter
mixture into a greased 9 x 12" baking pan. Add half of the cheese
mixture and
spread evenly over the batter. pour the remaining batter over top. With
a spoon,
place dollops of the remaining cheese mixture on top of the batter.
Bake at 400
for 25 minutes. Serve warm. Serves 8
