    1/2 cup margarine
    1 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1-2/3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 cup dried prunes; chopped
    1/2 cup nuts, chopped
    1 cup applesauce
    2 TB powdered sugar; for topping

    Recipe



    1. Beat margarine and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in egg.

    2. Sift dry ingredients together. Add prunes and nuts to dry
    mixture, then add this mixture to batter. Blend in applesauce.

    3. Bake in a greased 9-cup Bundt pan in a 350º F., oven for 1 hour or
    until tests done.

    4. Let cool on rack in pan for 10 minutes before turning out of pan.
    Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.
