    1 1/2 cups apple -- grated
    3 1/2 cups sugar
    1 cup applesauce -- ice cold
    4 tablespoons un-flavored gelatin
    2 cups walnuts -- chopped
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Recipe



    In heavy 4 qt. kettle, mix well the apples & sugar; set aside. Add
    gelatin
    to applesauce and mix well. Combine mixture in kettle, bring to boil
    and
    boil for 15 minutes. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and add nuts and
    vanilla. Pour into buttered 9x13" pan. Chill for 24 hours. Cut into
    pieces
    and roll in powdered sugar.
