Sweet & Sour Chunk Pickles (canned)

Wash & cut into 1 inch chunks enough medium sized cucumbers to fill 4
sterilized quart jars.
To each jar add:
3 onion slices
2 celery stalks
2 dill heads, and part stem
2 cloves garlic (optional)
Set in jars in warm water.
Dissolve:
4 C. sugar
1/2 C. salt
1 quart vinegar
1 pint water
Let come to a boil and pour over cucumbers in jar. Seal. Makes 4
quarts.
