For Sugar Cookies
List of Ingredients
2 lb. powdered sugar
1/4 to 1/2 c. milk
pinch of salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. vanilla (or 1/2 tsp. butter flavor, or 1/4 tsp. almond) Recipe
Mix sugar and milk, adding milk a little at a time. Add salt; mix well
until smooth. Mixture will be quite stiff. Add shortening; beat until
smooth and creamy. Add desired flavor- ing (vanilla, butter or almond).
Frost cookies or double 9-inch layer cake.
