    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    1 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 cup flour
    1/4 cup milk
    3 tablespoons cocoa
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 cup chopped nuts

    Recipe



    Cream butter to soften. Add sugar and vanilla; cream well. Beat in
    eggs
    one at a time. Stir in milk. Stir dry ingredients into creamed
    mixture.
    Add nuts. Spread in a greased 9x9x2-inch pan. Bake in moderate oven
    (350
    degrees) 25 minutes or till done. Sift powdered sugar over the top, or
    frost with Cocoa Frosting.

    Cocoa Frosting:
    Blend 1 1/2-tablespoons cocoa, 1-tablespoon milk, 1/4-teaspoon vanilla,
    2-teaspoons soft butter or margarine and 2/3-cup powdered sugar.

    Makes 2 dozen bars.
