5 dozen 2 1/4 inch cookies
List of Ingredients
2 1/4 Cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 Cup softened butter ( I only use unsalted butter for baking)
3/4 Cup sugar
3/4 Cup firmly packed brown sugar ( lumps broken up best as possible)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs ( room temperature)
12 oz. pkg (2 cups toll house semi sweet chips)
1 Cup chopped nuts ( omit if needed ) does not change recipe, just more
cookie surrounding the chips called for
Recipe
Preheat to 375*. In a small bowl combine( I sift these together) flour,
salt, baking soda. In a large mixing bowl beat together butter, sugar,
brown sugar and vanilla until creamy.Scrape down sides. Beat in eggs.
Slowly beat in flour mixture until combined. Do not overbeat. Stir in
chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoon fulls onto ungreased cool cookie sheets.
Could use a cookie scoop for uniform size****** place 2-3 inches apart on
all sides
Bake at 375* for 9-11 minutes. Remove from oven when botoms are
slightly browned. They will become slighlty firm when cooled. Do Not Let Go
Until Medium Brown on Bottom. They will be tough when cooled.
