    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. crushed pineapple,
    drained
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nut meats

    Recipe



    In a large bowl, cream shortening, add the two kinds
    of
    sugar gradually and cream together until well
    blended. Sift
    flour and measure; then add salt, baking powder and
    soda and
    sift again. Add the dry ingredients and crushed
    pineapple
    alternately to the shortening and sugar mixture. Mix
    well.
    Add vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto greased
    cookie
    sheets and bake in 350 degrees oven about ten
    minutes or until light
    brown. Frost cookies while still warm. Makes about 5
    dozen
    small cookies.

    Frosting:

    1 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 Tbsp. cream
    pineapple juice
    1 c. powdered sugar

    Mix butter, cream and sugar. Add sufficient pineapple
    juice to make frosting smooth enough to spread. Frost
    3 dozen.
