List of Ingredients
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter -- (*must* be butter)
1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 quart flour -- sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg -- beaten
decorations (opt.) -- i.e. silver dragées
Recipe
1. Preheat oven to 350°.
2. Beat 4 eggs with 1 C. sugar for 10 min. with electric mixer.
3. Cream butter and remaining cup of sugar, for 5 min., using
electric mixer.
4. Add to first mixture and stir in cinnamon.
5. Gradually stir in flour and salt, beating until smooth.
6. Shape with slightly wet hands to prevent
sticking.
7. Place on greased and floured cookie
sheets (or parchment lined), 2 "apart.
8. Paint with beaten egg and sprinkle with
decorations.
9. Bake for 10 min.
