4 c. sliced apples (about 2
lb.)
1/2 c. dry powdered milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. water
Topping:
3/4 c. dry powdered milk
1/2 c. all-purpose flour,
sifted
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. butter or margarine,
melted
Recipe
Grease a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Toss together
apples, 1/2 cup dry powdered milk, sugar, 1 teaspoon
cinnamon
and nutmeg. Place in greased dish. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup
water.
Topping: Combine dry powdered milk, sugar, flour,
cinnamon and nutmeg. Using a fork, gently toss in 1/4 cup
butter or margarine, melted. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to
40 minutes
or until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown. Serve
with heavy cream, if desired. Serves 6.
