    List of Ingredients




    Pudding:

    1/2 pkg. dates, chopped
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. baking powder

    Filling:
    1/2 pkg. dates, chopped
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped

    Recipe



    Pudding: Sprinkle soda over dates and pour boiling
    water over dates and let set while mixing rest of pudding.
    Cream sugar and butter. Add egg and mix well. Add flour and
    baking powder and mix well. Then add dates. Pour into a
    9-inch greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
    Filling: While pudding is baking make filling. Mix
    dates, sugar and nuts. Pour boiling water over dates and
    cook
    over low heat until thick. Let cool and when pudding is done

    spread filling over it. Let cool and serve with whipped
    cream.
