    List of Ingredients




    **Batter**
    1 cup flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 tablespoons oil
    1/2 cup milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    **Topping**
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 3/4 cups hot water

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 8 x 8 x 2-inch
    baking pan.

    For batter, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar
    and cocoa powder in large bowl. In small bowl, stir together
    oil, milk and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients. Stir until
    well blended. Spread in prepared pan.

    For topping, in same small bowl, combine brown sugar, cocoa
    powder and hot water. Mix well. Pour over batter. Bake for
    45 to 60 minutes, or until done. Cool on a wire rack for 10
    minutes. Invert onto plate. Cut into squares to serve.
