Easy Doughnut Holes
List of Ingredients
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
salad oil for frying
granulated sugar
cinnamon sugar
confectioners sugar
Recipe
In heavy 2 1/2-quart saucepan, combine sugar, salt,
butter and 1 cup water. Bring to boil; butter will melt.
Remove from heat. Quickly add flour all at once; beat with
wooden spoon until flour is moistened. Cook over medium
heat,
beating vigorously until dough forms ball and leaves side of
pan. Remove from heat. Add eggs, one at a time, beating with
electric mixer at medium speed after each addition. Continue
beating until mixture is smooth and forms strands that break
apart. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoon into hot oil, turn
several times, until golden brown. Drain and then roll in
sugars. Makes 2 dozen.
