    List of Ingredients




    * 2 packages yeast (mix according to package directions)
    * 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
    * 1 cup margarine
    * 1 cup sugar
    * 2 teaspoons nutmeg (optional)
    * 4 cups scalded milk (cooled)
    * 5 well beaten eggs
    * 2 cups mashed potatoes
    * flour

    Recipe



    Add soaked yeast to cooled milk, add sugar, eggs, margarine,
    salt, mashed
    potatoes, and nutmeg. Stir well, add enough flour to make
    soft dough. Let
    rise until double in size, knead, let rise again. Roll out
    to 1/2 inch
    thickness. Cut with doughnut cutter. Let rise 1/2 hour. Fry
    in deep fat.
