Recipe Introduction
Chop suey is a mixture of cooked vegatables in sauce usually
with mung bean sprouts as the basic ingredients, you can use
any type of meat or no meat. Thicken the juices with cornstarch, add garlic serve over steamed rice or hard
fried noodles.
No recipe required really, just use what's on hand.
List of Ingredients
1 lb. beef stew meat
8 Tbsp. chop suey sauce
4 Tbsp. brown sugar
1-2 cups mung bean sprouts
1 stalk celery
2 big onions
1 Tbsp. salt
Recipe
Brown meat; add diced celery and onions. Add water to
cover. Add sauce, sugar and salt. Pressure cook for 45
minutes or until meat is tender. Add bean sprouts; cook 5
minutes. While meat is cooking, make rice. Serve meat
mixture
over bed of rice. Top with chow mein noodles and soy sauce,
if
desired.
