2 pie crusts
Jam, jelly or preserves
sugar (optional)
cinnamon (optional)Recipe
Roll out the pie crusts and cut them into 3 X 5 inch
rectangles or
any size you like. Spread jelly, jam or preserves on
half the
pastries and top with the remaining half.
Using a fork or your fingers, press the edges of the
pastries
together.
(Use a little water to make the pastry stick to itself.)
Prick holes
in the top pastry crust. If desired, sprinkle with
cinnamon and
sugar.
Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees on ungreased cookie
sheet. You can
serve them right from the oven or toast them later.
To freeze, wrap individually with wax paper, then
store in freezer
container.
