List of Ingredients
2 lbs. beef boneless round steak or beef for stew, cut into 1" cubes
6 med. carrots, cut into halves
6 med. potatoes, cut into halves
6 sm. onions
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cr. of mushroom soup
1 pkg. (1 oz.) brown gravy mix
1/4 c. water
1 t. prepared horseradish
1/2 t. salt
Cheese Mayonnaise Biscuits *
Recipe
Mix beef and vegs. in ungreased 13x9x2"
pan. Mix soup, gravy mix, water,
horseradish and salt; pour over beef
mixture. Cover and cook in 325° oven
until beef is tender, about 3 hours.
Increase oven temp. to 450°. Prepare
Cheese Mayonnaise Biscuits dough.
Drop by spoonfuls onto hot stew. Cook
uncovered until biscuits are golden
brown, about 10 min. Makes 6 to 8
servings.
Cheese Mayonnaise Biscuits
1 c. buttermilk baking mix
1/2 c. grated American cheese food
1/4 c. cold water
2 T. mayonnaise
Mix all ingredients until soft dough
forms. Beat vigorously 20 strokes.
