    MONDAY
    These are my household meals and are for 3 adults.
    +++++++++++
    BREAKFAST...COMPLETE MEAL FOR 3 ADULTS ...$1.00 for 3 OR
    33 CENTS PER PERSON
    HOT ROLLED OATS [OATMEAL] AND MILK
    OLD FASHIONED HOMEMADE TAPIOCA PUDDING TOPPED WITH FRESH
    PICKED BLACKBERRIES
    1/2 cup tapioca pearls [not instant]
    3/4 cup water
    1/4-1/2 teaspoon real vanilla extract
    2 1/4 cups of milk
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 eggs [seperated]
    1/2 cup sugar
    Soak tapioca in water for at least 3 hours ina 1 1/2 quart
    pan.
    Add milk and salt tos oaked tapioca, beat egg yolks and mix
    in.
    Stir until comes toa full boil.
    Reduce to simmer over very low heat for 50 minutes, stirring
    now and then.
    Beat egg whites with sugar: mix in some of the hot mixture.
    Returnall to pan.stir 3 minutes over low heat. Cool 15
    minutes. Add vanilla.stirring gently. served warm or
    chilled, plain or with fruit.Makes 3 1/2 cups.
    NOTE FROMJO: I bought the tapioca pearls cheaply in the bulk
    section, in a package they are spendy, just as instant
    tapioca is.
    1/2 cup-1 cup per person.
    1/2 cup blackberries per person
    WATER
    WILD BERRY HERBAL TEA

    LUNCH/DINNER...COMPLETE MEAL FOR 3 ADULTS....$1.20 OR 40
    CENTS PER PERSON
    MUGS OF TOMATO SOUP
    About 8 -12 ounces per person
    GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH
    Per sandwich:
    2 slices of bread
    1 ounce real cheese[s]
    vegetable shortening
    electric griddle or skillet
    Heat ungreased griddle to 300-325 degrees F.
    Spead on side of each slice of bread with shortening ,on
    other side of one slice put cheese to cover. Place other
    slice of bread ,butterside up on cheese. You now have both
    buttered sides facing outwards.
    Place on hot griddle until golden brown. Turn and cook other
    side the same. You may cut in half or quarters and serve .
    CHOICE[S] OF POTATO SALAD, PICKLED BEETS,
    CARROT/RAISIN/PINEAPPLE SALAD
    JO'S PICKLED BEETS
    I usually make gallon at a time.
    Strain can of beets' juice into 1 glass gallon jar.
    I add a sliced onion
    Mix 1 part fructose [or one can use granulated sugar] and 1
    part real apple cider vinegar; and add to beet juice to
    taste.
    then add beets an dlet get real cold.
    Some people like to use spices but I hate that.
    When beets are eaten down abit one can add hard boiled eggs.

    when done eating solid contents make a geltain out of
    pickled beet juice using unflavored geltain.
    MANGOES AND BANANA CUP
    1/2 cup per serving
    WATER ESSENCE
    SNOW CONES
    Use shaved or crushed ice topped gently with flavored syrup.

    1 package unflavored koolaid
    1 cup sugar or sweetner
    1-2 cups water depending on how intense one like flavor
    I like to add koolaid to homemade simple syrup and serve.
    juice concerates are good seerved over the ice.

    DINNER/SUPPER...COMPLETE MEAL FOR 3 ADULTS....$2.5O OR 83
    CENTS PER PERSON
    STEAK STRIPS IN GRAVY AND MUSHROOMS OVER STEAMED RICE
    12 ounces steak sliced very thin..semi frozen steal works
    best.
    3 cups gravy
    mushrooms to taste
    Quickly stir fry steak in hot oil.
    remove add to gravy,add mushrooms, heat and serve over
    steamed rice
    1 cup regular rice
    2 cups water
    1 teaspoon oil ,butter or margarine
    put all into pan...DO NOT STIR
    cover pan, bring to a boil. immediately reduce to low heat
    and simmer for 15 minutes covered. check once in a while to
    see if need a bit of water. when done fluff rice with fork
    and serve.
    Stirring will make rice gummy and sticky.
    BROCCOLI AND CAULIFLOWER MELODY
    1/2 cup per person
    GELTAIN
    1/2 cup person
    PEACHES
    1/2 cup per person
    WATER
    TANGERINE SPICED HERBAL ICE TEA OVER MATCHING SHAVED ICE
    "ENCORE " BLACKBERRY CRISP
    Berries free from back yard.
