Spaghetti Turnover

1 T. salt
3 qts. boiling water
7 oz. spaghetti
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 T. poppy seed
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1/2 c. light cream
8 oz. sharp natural Cheddar cheese, shredded (2 c.)
snipped parsley (opt.)
Recipe
Add 1 T. salt to rapidly boiling water.
Gradually add spaghetti so that water
continues to boil. Cook uncovered,
stirring occasionally, until just tender.
Drain. Combine spaghetti, celery, onion,
poppy seed, 1/2 t. salt, pepper, and
cream. Lightly grease a lg. skillet; heat.
Spoon half the spaghetti mixture into
the skillet; top with 1 1/2 c. of the
cheddar cheese. Top with remaining
spaghetti mixture and sprinkle with
remaining cheese. Cover and cook over
med. heat 25 to 30 min., running
spatula under mixture occasionally to
prevent sticking. Unmold onto serving
platter. Garnish with parsley. Serves 6.
