    Basic Fry Bread
    (let this set at least one half hour before cooking)
    9 cups flour
    5 Tablespoons Baking Powder
    3/4 cup dry milk
    1/2 Tablespoon of salt
    1 cup of sugar
    3 cups or less of hot (stingy) water depending on how wet your pumpkin
    is

    to the basic fry bread add:
    16 oz. pumpkin cooked and mashed and drained or use the canned pumpkin
    3 Tablespoons of Cinnamon
    1/2 Tablespoon of allspice
    1/2 Tablespoon of ginger
    nuts and raisins to your taste

    After letting it sit for about 30 min. cook in your usual way.

    If you have lots of apples, you can use them instead of pumpkin to make
    apple cinnamon fry bread:
    4 to 6 cups of apples chopped fine
    1 cup of raisins softened in water (ps. you can save the raisin water
    to use
    in basic mix)
    about 2 cups of sugar
    5 Tablespoons of cinnamon
    Add the above to basic mix and cook as usual
